Day 1?Amman

The tour starts in the morning in Amman. Meet your CEO and head to Jerash, a fascinating ancient Roman city, for a guided visit. Later, continue to Ajloun. Explore the town and visit the famous Ajloun Castle before returning to Amman for the night.

Head straight to the massive Roman city of Jerash and learn about life in the sprawling empire.

En route back to Amman for the night, visit Ajloun Castle.

If you are arriving by flight on Day 1 of the tour, your flight needs to arrive no later than 8am. If you cannot arrive on Day 1 before 8am we recommend booking pre-night accommodation in Amman. Upon arrival at the airport, your CEO will meet and assist you through the customs and immigration procedures.

Take a step back in time visiting Jerash, one of the most well-preserved Roman sites outside of Italy. Wander amid its paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, handsome theatres, spacious public squares and plazas, baths, fountains, and city walls pierced by towers and gates ? all in exceptional condition.

Take a tour of historic Ajloun Castle, one of many Crusader fortresses in the area. Learn about its interesting past, and opt to see artifacts in the castle’s museum.

Day 2?Amman/Wadi Rum

Visit Mt Nebo and soak in the views before heading to the Dead Sea to float in the salty water. Continue on to Wadi Rum by 4×4. Explore the desert and stay with the local Bedouins.

Depart for the first stop of the day at Mt Nebo. Visit the church and take in spectacular views before heading to the Dead Sea to enjoy the opportunity to float in the salty sea water. Plaster yourself with healing mud or just relax on the beach.

Later, travel through beautiful desert scenery to Wadi Rum, home of the nomadic Bedouin people. Take a 4×4 deeper into the desert to reach the tented Bedouin camp.

Enjoy a traditional meal and learn more about the ancient Bedouin culture on this overnight excursion.

Accommodation in the desert is in one large goat-hair tent divided into “rooms” with curtains. Basic linens are provided but many travellers prefer to bring a sleep sheet for extra comfort. There are shared, unisex facilities. For religious reasons, no alcohol is permitted at the camp.

Visit Mount Nebo, a historic site believed by many to be the location of Moses’ death and has thus been a centre for pilgrimage since the earliest Christian times. Trek to the summit (817m or 2,680 ft), and be rewarded with views of the stunning surrounding countryside and Israel in the distance.

Discover the legendary healing qualities of the Dead Sea, famous for its unique mineral makeup and salinity. Spot salt chunks drifting by like icebergs on the water?s surface. Take a dip yourself and float like a buoy or cover yourself in the mud along the shore, believed to have medicinal and therapeutic benefits. There are showers nearby to wash off after.

Wadi Rum 4×4 Excursion

Journey into the stunning, colourful desert on this 4×4 excursion. Make stops along the way to get out and explore, learn about the region or scramble up rocks or sand dunes. Reach the Bedouin camp for nightfall to learn about a new culture and eat traditional food beneath the starry skies.

Local Living: Bedouin Camp Overnight

Camp overnight in the desert, enjoying a traditional meal and learning more about the ancient Bedouin culture. Spend the evening sitting under the stars, around a fire, listening to stories from the Bedouin hosts. If really lucky, they may bring the drums out for some music!

Travel to the ancient city of Petra. Explore this remote red-rock kingdom with a local Bedouin guide to see the best sights Petra has to offer.

Walk through the narrow canyon that forms the dramatic entrance to the city (the Siq), round the final corner and lay eyes on the dramatic fa?ade of the Treasury building.

Learn a brief history of the city. Return to Wadi Musa in the late afternoon, or continue exploring on your own.

Petra Guided Tour

Petra

Journey to Petra to explore this UNESCO World Heritage site. Each tour will be different depending on the interests of the group, but everyone arrives through the dramatic Siq, rounding a corner and setting eyes on the famous treasury building.

With time, hike approx 25km (15 mi) to cover the entire site. Climb (steps) to two sacred hilltops. Depending on the weather and the interests of the group, opt to hike an additional 2km (1.2 mi) to see the magnificent views from the top of the treasury. This makes for a unique and unforgettable experience.

Get a brief history of the city, one of the greatest tourist attractions in the Middle East. The Nabateans carved this capital from the living rock of the surrounding mountains in Petra. Visit monuments that include the Pharaoh’s Castle, the triumphal arch, the amphitheatre, and the monastery.

Journey back to Jordan’s capital city, Amman. Head to the airport or a hotel in the city.

Drive via the Desert Highway to reach Amman. The driver can drop you at the airport to catch any outbound flights or at a hotel in the city.

If you are planning to depart Amman on the final day, please do not take a flight that departs earlier than 14:00. If you plan to stay on in Amman, you will need to book a post-tour hotel as accommodation on Day 4 is not included.
