Paris has a timeless familiarity for first-time and frequent visitors, with instantly recognizable architectural icons, along with exquisite cuisine, chic boutiques and priceless artistic treasures. The wrought-iron spire of the Eiffel Tower piercing the clouds, the broad Arc de Triomphe guarding Paris’ most glamorous avenue, the Champs-Elysees, the gargoyled Notre Dame cathedral, lamplit bridges spanning the Seine and art nouveau cafes spilling onto wicker-chair-lined terraces are indelibly etched in the minds of anyone who’s visited the city ? and the imaginations of anyone who hasn’t (yet).

Day 3

Paris City Tour and Cruise (not included in package)

This excursion will give you the opportunity to discover Paris! The tour begins with the coach tour of the city to see the top monuments of Paris – Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Arc de Triumph, Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral, Louvre Museum, Saint Germain des Pres, Invalides… Here you will have an audio guide with recorded commentary in a number of languages. You will then departure from the Eiffel Tower on your cruise. The crew will welcome you on board one of the three trimarans belonging to the “Bateaux Parisiens”, for a one hour cruise. Entirely glass fitted, with a terrace behind and gangways all round, these boats are perfectly designed to discover and admire the rich architecture of the city and the monuments along the Seine. You will enjoy a clear and vivid commentary accompanied by music evoking the various places and times, is broadcast through individual headsets (in multiple languages). The cruise ends back at the Eiffel Tower, where you have the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 4

Versailles Guided Tour (Priority Access) (not included in package)

Leave your Paris accommodation for a minibus journey to Versailles; arrival scheduled for around an hour later. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of eight to allow you to enjoy a tailor-made excursion with your driver-guide. One of the most famous historic monuments in the world, the Palace of Versailles was the official residence of the Kings of France Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI and their courts from 1682 to 1789. Your guide will show you the majestic?Palace of Versailles, a symbol of the king’s power. Its Baroque architecture, sumptuous decoration, works of art, and furniture were all created by the greatest artisans of the age. After touring the palace, explore the magic of its formal gardens and exceptionally beautiful grounds.

The Palace of Versailles has more than 700 rooms and stretches for over 721,000 square feet. Follow your guide straight to the front of the line to visit the palace’s most beautiful rooms: the King’s Grand Apartments, with seven rooms dedicated to different gods (Apollo, Mars, Mercy, Venus, etc.), and the Queen’s Grand Apartments, mirroring those of the king, which include the Coronation Room and the Queen’s Bedroom, once occupied by Marie Antoinette, among others.

In 1661, Louis XIV commissioned the landscape architect Andre Le Notre to lay out the grounds and gardens, something that was just as important to the king as the construction of the palace itself. Enjoy your free time strolling through the Gardens of Versailles and admire the 386 works of art (including more than 200 statues), fountains, flower beds, ponds, and trees. During the summer months, a range of activities are organized, such as the Grandes Eaux Musicales, when the fountains are made to dance to music.

Day 5

Galeries Lafayette Champagne Break (not included in package)

If shopping is on your mind, then this is the place to go! The Galeries Lafayette is an upmarket French department store located on Boulevard Haussmann in the 9th arrondissement of Paris.

Take a break from the shopping and enjoy a glass of champagne and 3 small macarons under the neo-byzantine dome of the Main Store. Thanks to their several restaurants and luxury food hall, Galeries Lafayette Haussmann is considered to be one of the most prestigious gastronomic destinations in Paris.

Day 6

Travel from Paris to Nice

Your transfer is included to the Airport or the train station ? Transport to Nice is not included. There is an option to take a high-speed train or to take a short flight.

With its unusual mix of real city grit, old-world opulence, year-round sunshine and exceptional location, Nice’s appeal is universal. Everyone from backpackers to romance-seeking couples and families will love sitting at a cafe on cours Saleya in Vieux Nice or a bench on the legendary Promenade des Anglais for an epic sunset. Eating options are some of the best you will find in France, the nightlife is buzzing and the art scene thriving. You could happily spend a week here and still be hungry for more.

Day 7

Nice Le Grand Tour – Hop On and Off Bus ? 2-day pass (not included in the package)

Enjoy the fantastic views from an open-top hop-on and off tour bus. Board the bus at any of the 11 stops and discover Nice at your own pace using your pass. See the English Promenade, Cimiez Monastery, Mont Boron, Matisse Museum or the Chagall Museum. You can listen to the?original commentary about Nice through your personal earphones, available in 7 languages.

Hop On and Hop Off

Enjoy exploring Nice on your second day of your hop on hop off pass. (pass not included in package)

Monaco and Eze Village (optional not included in the package)

Today you will departure for Monaco by the lower level road, passing through Villefranche / Cap Ferrat, known for its his beautiful bay and Citadel from the 16th century. You will have a quick photo stop here. Next you will continue on through Beaulieu, known for its casino and
gastronomical restaurants, and Cap d’Ail. You will then arrive in the principality of Monaco, best known for the Prince Palace, the cathedral sheltering Princess Grace Kelly’s grave, and the oceanographic museum. Here you will have time to stroll around in the narrow streets. You will then continue on to Monte Carlo city via the formula one “circuit##34;. Enjoy free time at the main square to see the highlights including the famous casino, the gardens, and the opera. Entrance inside the casino is possible at a cost of around 10 Euro per person (your passport is compulsory, forbidden under 18, and dress code in effect). On the way back to Nice you will stop for visit at the perfumes factory Fragonard, and then have free time in Eze to discover the old city.
