Day 1

Zurich to Sils-Maria

Upon arrival in Zurich, you will take the 1st Class train for approximately 3 hours to St. Moritz. A private limousine will meet you at the train to bring you to your hotel. Once settled in at the Waldhaus in Sils Maria, you can enjoy a welcome drink and a 5 course dinner.

Day 2

Sils-Maria

Enjoy a day at leisure in Sils-Maria, where there is plenty to do. You may want to take a horse drawn carriage ride into the Val Fex, or walk the area with a local guide, explore on your own, or lay low and enjoy the spa facilities at the hotel. Authors like Nietzsche, artists like Beuys, and musicians like David Bowie were inspired by the fantastic sweeping views and the magical light. They contributed to Sils’ reputation today as a place of great culture. This is emphasized by renowned events, the Biblioteca Engiadinaisa, the Robbi Museum and the Nietzsche House. A 5 course dinner awaits you at the hotel in the evening.

Day3

Glacier Express

After breakfast, a private limousine will take you to St. Moritz to board the Glacier Express. You will enjoy lunch on board as you are taken a trip through untouched mountain landscapes, glamorous health resorts, deep gorges, delightful valleys, 91 tunnels and across 291 impressive bridges. You will be met at the station and brought to your hotel for a welcome drink. Here in Zermatt, home of the Matterhorn, dinner is at your leisure and there is plenty of choice in this charming town.

Day 4

Zermatt

Spend the day today in Zermatt. Stroll through the charming city, take the Gornegrat Railway to a peal and enjoy panoramic views, or relax in the hotel spa. The location of Zermatt, at the foot of the Matterhorn and in the middle of an enormous hiking and ski region, makes it one of the world’s most attractive vacation villages. The vacation destination is a car-free zone, has preserved its original character and offers nearly unlimited possibilities as far as excursions are concerned. Tonight you will be served a beautiful 3 course meal at your hotel.

Day 5

Cruise on Thun Lake to Bern

Today your luggage will be transferred to your next hotel, while you have a leisurely breakfast and then a train to Interlaken. From here you will cruise across Lake Thun to Switzerland’s capital, Bern. Not many cities have managed to retain their historic features quite as successfully as Bern, the capital of Switzerland. The old town of Bern is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and thanks to its 6 kilometres of arcades – the locals refer to them as ‘Lauben’ – boasts on of the longest weather-sheltered shopping promenades in Europe. Enjoy a welcome drink at the hotel, as well as champagne in your room. Enjoy an evening in Bern at your leisure.

Day 6

Private Tour of Bern

Try signature ‘Schweizerhof’ breakfast and then depart on a 2 hour guided tour of Bern. The medieval Old Town is steeped in history and charm. The afternoon is yours to explore Bern and enjoy the hotel. Be sure to take advantage of a complimentary massage at the hotel spa before finding a restaurant in Bern for dinner.

Day 7

Departure

Enjoy your champagne farewell breakfast before your train connection back to Zurich Airport and your onward journey.
