DAY 02: Full day tour of Swyambhunath Stupa, Patan City and Bhaktapure City

On a full day tour today we take you to several historical sites which are considered World heritage site including the historic Durbar Squares in Patan City, Bhaktapure City and over 2000 years old ‘Monkey Temple’ ?Swayambhunath. Unfortunately, the devastating earthquake of April 2015 partially destroyed the some of these monuments some of which are presently under construction. However exploring these landmarks is a delightful experience that reflects the marvelous art and architecture of ancient period.

DAY 03-04: DRIVE TO CHITWAN WILDLIFE NATIONAL PARK

After an early breakfast, we drive along side River Trisuli to reach our hotel in Chitwan in time for lunch. Trisuli River is a popular rafting river offering some exciting white water raft trips ranging for a day trip to several days.
2 Nights and 3 days are spent at Chitwan National Park with exciting jungle activities along with an experienced naturalist. The activities at the resort includes Jungle safari on elephants, guided nature walks, canoe trips, jeep safaris in search of one horned rhinoceros, tigers, leopards, deer, crocodiles and birds and a cultural tour to the native village.Overnight: Wildlife Resort in Chitwan Park

DAY 05: DRIVE TO POKHARA – 175 km 5 hours drive

After breakfast a scenic country side drive brings us to a city of renowned Gorkha Soldiers. Pokhara, popularly known as the valley of lakes lies beneath the 8000 meters Annapurna Massif dominating the skyline to the north. The view of the Phewa Lake against the backdrop of perfectly shaped MachapuchereRange (the Fishtail Mountain) is the popular landmark of Pokhara.
After check in at the hotel the day is left free to explore around the interesting Lake side market.Overnight: Hotel in Pokhara. Included Meals: Breakfast.

DAY 06: POKHARA VALLEY TOUR.

After breakfast we will take a boat ride on the beautiful Phewa Lake and to the island like temple ? Barahi Temple- dedicated to the boar manifestation of Ajima- protector deity representing the female force ?Shakti?. A picture taken during a boat ride with the refection of the artistic Fishtail Mountain in the lake and the beautiful mountain rising above the Lake in the backdrop will guarantee you a best photography award anywhere any time.
Visit Davi?s Fall. Legend has it that a trekker named Davi was killed in the fall hence the foreign name is given to the fall which is locally know as PateleChhango meaning underground water.
A stroll through the old Pokhara bazaar takes you to the important shrine ? Bindayabashini Temple, dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati, yet another manifestation of Shakti (power).

DAY 07: DAY FREE IN POKHARA

Today has been left free for you to continue exploring this delightful setting as you wish. A full day in Pokhara offer you a whole lot of adventure opportunities such as Paragliding or a Zip-line adventure drop down from the Sarankot hill or a thrilling two seat single engine mountain flight or just relax around the lakeside.

Optional: Day hike to the World Peace temple.

World Peace Pagoda, a massive Buddhist stupa is situated on the top of a hill on the southern shore of Phewa Lake. Besides being a impressive sight in itself, the shrine is a great vantage point which offers the spectacular views of the Annapurna range, Phewa Lake, and the Pokhara city. We Climb the Raniban forest crossing the suspension bridge. After the 2 hours of walk we reach stupa and enjoy the spiritual and scenic beauty. Climbing down from Pagoda is more enjoyable with the view of Phewa Lake and the mountains. We cross the lake after the 20 minutes of boating with the visit to island temple (Barahi temple) in the middle of lake.
In the evening we drive to Sarankot Height for the sunset and sunrise view over the Himalayan Ranges.

DAY 08: FLY FROM POKHARA TO KATHMANDU

Early Morning Tour: The most stunning of Pokhara?s sights is the spectacular panorama of Annapurna Ranges – Annapurna I to Annapurna IV – of which Annapurna I (8091 m) is the highest. Your hotel at Sarankot Height offers you a chance to enjoy this scenic grandeur especially attractive during sunrise.
For those willing to experience an introductory hike in the Nepal Himalayas can continue to take a 45minutes hike uphill to a superb vantage point at the top of Sarankot Height (1592m). Optional: The more adventurous can paraglide or make a fast drop by Zip- Line to Pokhara Valley.
After a late breakfast, transfer to the airport to connect with the flight to Kathmandu. On arrival, receive and transfer to the Hotel.

DAY 09: Fly Kathmandu to Lhasa (3660m / 12008ft.)

An hour of Trans Himalayan flight considered to be one of the most beautiful air routes in the world brings us to Lhasa. The flight offers a bird?s eye view of the entire Himalayan ranges and you get to see 8 of the highest summits in the world that exceed 8000 meters, including Everest (8,848m), all on this single flight. You can feel the thin air due to altitude as you land. After an interesting 45 minutes drives we reach our hotel in the Lhasa City. An easy day with just mild activities and a good rest is advised for acclimatization.

Day 10: Sightseeing in Lhasa

After breakfast, an experienced guide will take you on a tour to Sera Monastery, Norbulingka and the Barkhor Square. At the famous Sera Monastery, we will acquire an insight into the important aspects of Tibetan Buddhism. Later in the day we visit Norbulingka Palace, which is the summer palace of the Dalai Lama and houses what is considered to be the largest man made garden in Tibet. Later we drive to Jhokhang, situated in the heart of Tibet. Surrounding the Jokhang Temple is the bustling Barkhor market place, which is the religious and social focus of Lhasa. After the day?s tour, you will be escorted back to your hotel.

Day 11: Sightseeing in Lhasa

Tibet tours involves a good walk up and down the monuments. Today we visit the beautiful Potala Built in the 17th century. The imposing structure of the palace dominates the landscape of Lhasa. This 13 storied, 1000 room citadel served as the headquarters of the former Tibet and was home to successive Dalai Lamas who, from the latter half of the 18th century, used it as their Winter Palace. Potala Palace provides amazing views of the entire city. Later in the day we will visit the Drepung Monastery which was founded in 1416. We walk up through chapels adorned with numerous murals, art and artifacts and also observe nuns and monks chanting and performing religious discourses. After the tour, we drive back to the hotel for a good rest.

Day 12: In Lhasa

This day is for you to spend it as you desire. Explore and soak in the sights and sounds of the old city, revisit a favorite monastery, go for souvenir hunting in the busy local market at Barkhor Square, or simply sit in a caf? and watch pilgrims as they circumambulate the Jokhang. There is also the option of an additional tour to places such as the Tibetan Medical Centre, Ganden Monastery and Tsurphu Monastery. But this additional tour will incur an extra cost.

Day 13: Lhasa to Gyantse (3,950m/12,956ft) via Karo La Pass and YamdrokTso Lake: 261km, 5-6 hours

Moving out of Lhasa, we drive past Khamba La pass( 4794m), with a brief halt to savor the beauty of Yamdrok-tso Lake also known as the Turquoise Lake. Further on we drive past Nazin Kang Sang glacier (7,252m). Soon, we come across another pass, The Karo La Pass (5,045m). Tibet offers an amazing landscape with shades of color, which seems to change with the daylight. The views from the high passes are awesome. Gyangtse still retains the charm of a traditional Tibetan town untouched by modern expansion. The compound, encircled by an impressive wall, once contained 19 monasteries, presided over by the still intact Gyangtse Dzong, a 14th century fortress perched atop a nearby mountain. In Gyantse, we visit Khumbum Stupa, Phalkot Monastery and GyantseDzong.

Day 14: Gyantse to Shigatse (3,900m/12,795ft) via Shalu Monastery: 95km, 2 hours</h5>

After breakfast, we drive towards Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. On the way, we visit Shalu Monastery. On arrival at Shigatse, we visit Tashilhunpo Monastery founded in 1447 by the first Dalai Lama, which is still one of the largest functioning monasteries in Tibet. Tashilhunpo has one of the world’s largest statue, a 9-storied gilded bronze statue of Maitreya, the future Buddha. We have an early night to day to prepare for a long drive on the next day.

Day 15: Shigatse to Rongbuk (5,000m/16,400ft) via Sakya Monastery: 355km, 8-9 hours

After breakfast, we leave Shigatse for Rongbuk. On the way, we visit Sakya Monastery which is the ancestral temple of Sakyapa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Many of its priceless images, frescos, statues and holy scriptures that remain date back to the time of its founding in 1073. After a visit to Sakya Monastery, we continue driving towards Shegar from where the road deviates for Rongbuk. We will drive to the south crossing Pang La pass at 5150m. We cannot but click away with your cameras at the splendor of majestic views of snow-capped peaks from Makalu to Shishapangma. After driving for 68 km, you eventually reach the highest monastery in the world-Rongbuk at 5000m. Explore around the monastery in the evening and capture the view of the monastery with Everest in the background especially beautiful during sunset.

DAY 16: Rongbuk to Zhangmu (2,300m / 7,544ft) via Everest Base Camp: 257km, 5-6 hours

An exciting day today as we make an approximate 16 Km round trip excursion to explore Everest Base Camp (5150m). The base camp itself is dry and barren, but the imposing closeup view of Everest (8,848m/29,028ft) -also locally known as Mt. Chomolongma,is just awe-inspiring. After spending some quality time at the base of Mt. Everest we drive towards Zhangmu, our last stop in Tibet. On the way, we cross the Lalung La Pass (5,124m/16,068ft), Shung La Pass (5,200m/17,056ft) and Nyalam Pass (3,800m/12,464ft), which offer enchanting views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. As we approach Zhangmu we pass through Nielamu Pass (3,800 m) with spectacular views of the JugalHimal. As we approach Zhangmu, the road follows the deep valley of the BhoteKosi on a spectacular road with lots of waterfalls on both sides of the valley. We witness a dramatic change of barren landscape of the Tibetan plateau to a more verdant Zhangmu on the Nepalese border.

Day 17: Zhangmu to Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft): 153km,4-5 hour

After boarder formalities at Zhangmu we drive down about 530 meters drop covering a few kilometers drive from Zhangmu to Friendship Bridge. After crossing the bridge you will be received by our representative who will assist you to complete some custom formalities before we drive for about 5 hours through deep valleys, we reach Kathmandu.
